Socrates P. Manoukian, the father of Capt. Matthew P. Manoukian, embraces Maj. Gen. Mark A. Clark, the commanding general of Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, at a Navy Cross Ceremony aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 18. Manoukian was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross for actions while deployed to Afghanistan in 2012.
