Lieutenant Col. Anthony J. Bango, the commanding officer of 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, thanks Marines, sailors, family and friends for their support and helping him achieve his goals during a change of command ceremony aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 9, 2014. “It is my goal to reset the battalion and have us refocus and train on the mission essential tasks of an LAR Bn. because now we are drawing down from Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom,” said Bango a native of Harrisville, N.Y.
