Spc. Benny Spears, 843rd Engineer Company, 205th Engineer Brigade of the Louisiana National Guard, uses a backhoe, Sept. 8, 2008, to relocate sand displaced from the beach area during Hurricane Gustav's storm surge. The sand will be used elsewhere to restore area levees to their original condition before the storm.
