William Burford a native of Slidell, La., and first sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Battalion, 14th Cavalry Regiment "Strykehorse," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team "Warrior," 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, fires his rifle during a training exercise at a firing range on Camp Taji, northwest of Baghdad. Burford is considered an inspirational and successful leader by those who know and work with him.
