    Staff Sgt. Brandon Valentine is the communications operations chief for 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment. He is a native of Columbus, Ga., and is on his fifth deployment. Valentine won the "Marines Got Talent" competition at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms prior to deploying and is practicing to win it again.
