U.S. Army Alaska Aviation Task Force soldiers attending the Aviation Cold Weather Course, a new cold weather course designed specifically for aviators, by aviators, set up ground-to-air signaling devices. UATF soldiers fly great distances and cover areas not easily or quickly accessible. This two-week course gives them the knowledge to survive in an Arctic environment and exposure to what it would be like if they were to be stranded for any reason. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt.
