Sgt. Jacob Turner prepares the crane to hoist down an Apache propeller. Members from the South Carolina Army National Guard's 1/151 Attack Recon Battalion at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina, work to move 10 Apache helicopters from the ARNG side of the base to the Air National Guard's F-16 hangar. McEntire ANG's F-16's are being flown to an off-sight location allowing the space needed for the ARNG's helicopter's to be stored in preparation of Tropical Storm Hanna, which is expected to make landfall in the near future. The South Carolina National Guard stands ready to provide hurricane disaster relief operations to civilian authorities in those areas affected by damaging hurricanes. The SCNG has prepositioned aircraft, equipment, and personnel who are preparing for recovery operations.
