Capt. Christian Amaya passes a baton to Maj. John R. Boutin Nov. 11 during a Marine Corps birthday relay race around Okinawa. Two teams of ten Marines competed against each other in a friendly rivalry of esprit-de-corps and endurance encompassing the entire distance of the Okinawa coastline. Amaya is an ammunition officer with 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Boutin is the operations officer with 7th Communications Battalion, III MEF Headquarters Group, III MEF.
