Sgt. Matthew Guinn, then a corporal, a Marine with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, earned the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing commanding general’s recognition aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Dec. 4. The commanding general promoted Guinn as a surprise for his actions on post deployment leave, when he volunteered to help pick up tornado debris in Wayne, Nebraska.
