Armed Forces of the Philippines Maj. Gen. Jeffrey F. Delgado, deputy commander of Joint Task Force Yolanda (JTF-Yolanda), speaks with U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Hugh Wetherald, Maritime Component Commander for Joint Task Force 505 (JTF-505). Delgado and Wetherald discussed the transfer of responsibility for coordinating maritime forces in support of Typhoon Haiyan response from JTF-505 to JTF Yolanda. JTF-505 is conducting a coordinated transition and retrograde of military operations with the Armed Forces of the Philippines due to the decreasing demand for unique U.S. military capabilities in further relief efforts.
