The Djibouti Armed Forces (FAD ) band performs during FAD Maj. Gen. Fathi Ahmed Houssein's retirement ceremony at a Djiboutian base near Camp Lemonnier, Nov. 28, 2013. Fathi retired after more than 54 years of military service and was the chief of defence for the FAD. Djibouti is an active member of the African Union Mission in Somalia and works closely with Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa members supporting operations to help stabilize East Africa.
