The mission of the Air Force Weather Agency is maximizing America's power through the exploitation of timely, accurate and relevant weather information; anytime, everywhere. Weather flights are all around the world and are the prime interface with installation's flying and ground operations. The main focus of the weather flight is operational weather. Weather personnel are the eyes forward, using real-time radar, satellite imagery, sensor readouts, and visual observations to forecast local and deployed conditions. When needed, combat weather flight members deploy with the unit, providing a familiar face and the same high quality support they receive at their home bases.
