U.S. Navy Rear. Adm. Hugh Wetherald, commander of Amphibious Force 7th Fleet, Expeditionary Strike Group Seven, and Task Force 76, boards an MV-22B Osprey after visiting the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopter destroyer, JDS Ise (DDH-182), of the coast of the Philippines, Nov. 27, 2013, during Operation Damayan. During the operation, JTF-505 demonstrated the successful cooperation between partners in the Asia-Pacific, enabled by the forward presence of U.S. military assets.
