A team of Joint Task Force Guantanamo and U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo volunteers pull a West Indian manatee, also known as an Antillean manatee, Nov. 11, at Manatee Cove off of Lizard Island. The volunteers helped a team from the U.S. Geological Survey track, capture and assess seven manatees over the course of a five-day capture program known as the Sirenia Project, which provides data on the endangered manatees to better protect the species.
