The image shows a multinational military gathering on the deck of a naval vessel, likely during a joint exercise or official visit. Personnel from at least two identifiable forces are present: U.S. Navy sailors in digital blue camouflage (NWU Type I) and what appears to be Royal Thai Navy personnel, identifiable by the Thai flag patch and rank insignia visible on the foreground uniform. A central figure holding documents and a blue folder appears to be conducting a briefing or orientation.

    USS Chosin

Aboard the Japanese warship Makanami, Chief Petty Officer Matt Mistove and Lt. j.g. Kenneth Lee listen to and observe an Indonesian boarding officer as he briefs one of the boarding teams who participated in the exercise. U.S. Navy personnel from USS Chosin are participating in combined navies exercises and an International Fleet Review in Sydney Sept. 29 through Oct. 18. The fleet training exercise dubbed ADMM+, ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting Plus, is a major multi-lateral activity to promote practical Maritime cooperation and information sharing among participating Indo-Asian-Pacific countries and to build a common understanding of interoperability procedures in maritime security matters.
