A receiver for a simulated remote-controlled improvised explosive device is attached to a telephone pole showing Marines and sailors in the Predeployment Training Program that IEDs are not just on the ground. Counter-IED instructors taught inside the classroom for a portion of their class and then took the Marines and sailors outside to show them an overview of different types of IEDs and their indicators.
