    2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division

    Lt. Col Andrew N. Liffring, a Paratrooper assigned to the 37th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, addresses the battalion’s Paratroopers, veterans and families during a ceremony to mark the deactivation of the Brigade Special Troops Battalion and the reactivation as the 37th BEB at Stang Field on Fort Bragg, N.C., Nov. 15. Liffring, who served as A Company commander in the 37th Eng. Bn. from April 2001 to June 2003, now serves as the battalion’s commanding officer. The activation of the BEB is one of the first steps for the division’s conversion to the Army’s new BCT 2020 organization.
