Capt. Aaren Hanson (right), a native of Lakeland, Minn., currently serving as the commander of the unit command-post detachment for Company C, Division Special Troops Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, as a cadet next to an ROTC battle buddy during a summer training exercise while attending the University of Minnesota in 1997. Hanson would become the school?s Homecoming Queen that same year.
