Cpl. J. Gage Karwick from Denham Springs, LA., left, and Cpl. Michelle Reges from Wilmington, DE., spoke during a Marine Corps birthday and Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11 on Tinian’s North Field during exercise Forager Fury II. The ceremonies were held inform the people of Tinian why Marines celebrate the birthday. They informed the locals of the traditions of the cake cutting and read the Commandant’s birthday message. Reges is an administrative clerk with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force and Karwick is a combat correspondent with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron with Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Marine Corps Installations Pacific.
