A bell that originally hung at Camp Alamo in Kabul, Afghanistan, was donated to the camp by a group of New York City police officers on the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The bell was brought to Texas by members of the Texas Army National Guard, after the base was transferred to the Afghan National Army, and was given as a gift to the Alamo, in San Antonio, Nov. 8, 2013, a modern day symbol of freedom.
