Alfonso Sierra the Bronze Star Medal with "V" device for valor at Command Outpost Callahan during a visit to Baghdad, July 21, 2008. Sierra, assigned to Company D, 148th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, was one of several soldiers awarded the BSM for their service while assigned to the Sadr City area of Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
