The visit, board, search and seizure team assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage prepares to conduct a boarding exercise with the training support vessel Prevail. Ramage is participating in Joint Task Force Exercise 08-4 as a part of the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group. The Iwo Jima ESG is made up of Ramage; the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima; the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio; the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf; the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall; all homeported at Norfolk, Va.; the guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt, homeported at Mayport, Fla.; and the fast attack submarine USS Hartford, homeported at Groton, Conn.
