Kansas State football players wore a specially-designed helmet during the Nov. 2 military appreciation game in Manhattan, Kan. This marked the first modification of the K-State helmet since Bill Snyder came on board as head coach in 1989. The helmet also featured a ”Black Lion,” highlighting the continuing partnership between the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th IBCT, 1st Infantry Division, and the football team.
