Brig. Gen. Shakir (center), commander of the Iraqi National Police's 1st Mechanized Brigade awards certificates of graduation for Iraqi combat engineers, July 19, during the inaugural graduation ceremony of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division Iraqi Security Forces Iron Claw Academy at a combined combat outpost in the Rashid District of southern Baghdad. The academy is a 10-day course led by Soldiers from the 4th Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, attached to the 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., Multi-National Division - Baghdad, to provide hands-on instruction and specialized training on route clearance equipment and operations for Iraqi NP.
