The 362nd Training Squadron, Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR), students trained on recovering an F-15 Eagle aircraft that experienced landing gear failure on Oct. 28, 2013. The training crews utilized a dedicated wire rope sling and a 55 ton crane to lift the aircraft to the proper height, simulating placing the aircraft into a flatbed trailer to remove off the runway.
