    140th Wing

Army and Air National Guard units pour concrete underneath a bridge where water from the floods washed away the support weeks before. The area in the photo to the left, where the excavator is sitting, is where the river normally runs, but it is being diverted in order to complete bridge construction, then the river will be routed back to it's original location. The 219th Red Horse Unit from the Montana Air National Guard is the main crew at this site along Route 36. National Guard units from Colorado, Utah, Kansas and Montana participate in reconstruction the Colorado State Route 36 after recent floods devastate the area. Army and Air National Guard units provide civil engineer and Red Horse units to repair the roads and provide a 24-foot wide passable road before Dec. 1, 2013. Currently they are ahead of schedule.
