Quartermaster Seaman Apprentice Mason Zimmerman, assigned to the Riverine Command Boats (RCB) of Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.7, practices assembly and disassembly of the M240 machine gun, as his shipmates drill him with questions on the gun's specifications. RCBs provide a multi-mission platform for the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility by focusing on maritime security operations, maritime infrastructure protection and theater security cooperation efforts, as well as conduct offensive combat operations.
