Soldiers from Alpha Company 2-135 were welcomed home July 20, 2007, by family and friends. The Minnesota National Guard's 1st Brigade Combat Team has been deployed 22 months, 16 months of which were in a combat zone. The 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 34th Infantry Division has been deployed in a combat zone longer than any other military unit in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
