Lt. Col. Brian Spangler, Expert Field Medical Badge test board chairman and executive officer, 10th Combat Support Hospital, supervises EFMB candidates during “shakedown” as they pack their rucksacks in preparation for a 12-mile road march, during the EFMB course held at Camp Red Devil on Fort Carson, Sept. 18. A total of 185 EFMB candidates, including officers, noncommissioned officers, and soldiers from Fort Carson, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., and Fort Riley, Kan., participated in the event, with seven completing the course.
