Cpl. Adam Stanek, a Clermont, Fla., native and motor vehicle operator with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, Regional Command (Southwest), drives his Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected vehicle while clearing a path at the front of a convoy through Helmand province, Afghanistan, Sept. 16, 2013. Stanek volunteered to drive the lead navigation vehicle on missions through the province in spite of the hazards associated with the position.
