Sgt. 1st Class Russell Spencer, acting first sergeant for HHC, 3rd IBCT (Rear Operations), and his son Ethan read to a group of students Sept. 19, at the Middletown Elementary annual Read-A-Thon. The event encouraged students to set reading goals and then challenges them to meet those goals with the help of their parents and has raised over $12,000 annually for educational programs.
