A shooter aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) launches an F/A-18 Hornet assigned to the River Rattlers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 204. VFA-204, a reserve squadron based in Louisiana, is participating in training operations. Theodore Roosevelt is conducting flight deck certification and carrier qualifications after being re-delivered to the active Navy last month.
