People sit outside the gates of the airport in Kalibo as supplies from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan arrive via helicopter to the devastated region after Typhoon Fengshen. At the request of the government of the Republic of the Philippines, Ronald Reagan is off the coast of Panay Island providing humanitarian assistance and disaster response. Ronald Reagan and other U.S. Navy ships are operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility to promote peace, cooperation and stability.
