Members of the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing work together to restore a Sept. 11, 2001, memorial here, Sept. 5, 2013. The memorial was initially painted in 2008. The first sergeants and 13 volunteers from around the base used two and a half gallons of paint and dedicated more than 150 hours to restore the memorial. The last step will be the applying of a finishing coat in an attempt to preserve the memorial for years to come. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Christopher A. Campbell)
