Ryan Heagney, rifleman, Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, places a tourniquet on a simulated wounded role-player at a checkpoint training scenario during the battalion's Integrated Training Exercise here, Aug. 9, 2013. Heagney, 22, a native of Fort Morgan, Colo., used the skills he learned being a combat life saver help the role-player during the exercise. The ITX is a training exercise held at the Combat Center to prepare Marines for a combat deployment.
