    • Vigilant Guard California - Nevada 17-1

      California and Nevada National Guard personnel will host Vigilant Guard 2016 (17-1), a large-scale exercise in southern California and Nevada to test the emergency-response capabilities across both regions. The exercise will emphasize joint, interagency cooperation in executing the Regional Response Plan and Dual-Status Commander processes.

      16th Sustainment Brigade and Slovene Armed Forces conduct convoy live fire training in Pocek Major Training Area, Slovenia.

    • Exercise Mangusta 16

      Mangusta is an annual Italian Army exercise which has included a US component since 2015. US Soldiers will conduct Italian Army Basic Airborne Refresher Training at the Italian Army Airborne School in Pisa as a prerequisite to jumping from Italian aircraft.

    • Wolverine Strike

      Wolverine Strike is a Home Station Training exercise taking place in Maniago LTA, Italy, 28 NOV - 2 DEC. It will feature the Brigade Support Battalion of 173rd IBCT(A).

    • Mountain Shock

      The Shock series of exercises are directed by the USAREUR CG and they can take place anywhere in theater. They are no-notice Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercises (EDRE) designed to test a unit's ability to respond and conduct operations with little or no advanced warning.

    • Blue Chromite

      Blue Chromite is a U.S.-only exercise unique to Okinawa which strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps expeditionary, amphibious rapid-response capabilities required to act swiftly and effectively throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

    • Joint Warrior 16-2

      Joint Warrior is a United Kingdom-led exercise designed to improve interoperability between allied navies and prepare participating crews to conduct combined operations while deployed.

    • Tonnerre Lightning 16-2

      Tonnerre Lightning is a series of exercises aimed at improving interoperability between the air forces of the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. This exercise takes place from approximately Oct. 31 - Nov. 9, 2016. It consists of several days of refining communication procedures through mission planning, and culminating with air exercises in the U.K., led by the U.K.
