Time to shineFour OH-58 Kiowa’s hovered the sky of the Rodriguez Live Fire Complex. Like a dragonfly landing on a tree, a Kiowa helicopter landed on a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) pad. Despite the blades’ strong wind mixed with grass and dust, two Soldiers each with red and yellow helmets quickly ran toward the helicopter and communicated with a special sign language. Now knowing what the aircraft needed the Soldiers went into action refueling and arming the bird. As the Soldiers gave a thumbs up, the aircraft flew away into the mountains. It all happened within a few minutes.

U.S. Army Reserve Col. Paul Rosewitz and his daughters, Emily, 20, and Kathryn, 19, were among the reenactors. Rosewitz, originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the deputy director of the Army Reserve Engagement Cell at U.S. Army Europe.

Prevention is the keyIn the Camp Humphreys Theater, Soldiers shouted out sexually vulgar words to the speaker in the front. He quickly wrote the obscene words on a white board. The guest speaker was Phillip Sheridan, an educator from Catharsis Production. He was there to talk to the Soldiers about sexual harassment and assault prevention.

Col. Glover assumes command of the 650th RSG
Col. Glover assumes command of the 650th RSGCol. Toni Alecia Glover, a Houston, Texas, resident, assumed command of the 650th Regional Support Group June 28, in a change of command ceremony at the Floyd Edsall Readiness Center in Las Vegas, where Brig. Gen. David E. Elwell, 311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command commanding general, was present to transfer the unit colors to Glover from Col. Amy M. Taitano, who has led the brigade for two years.
