22nd LRS:Moving McConnellDuring a base-wide exercise in October 2014, news came through that an F-16 Fighting Falcon had gone down 70 miles outside of McConnell Air Force Base near Moline, Kansas. However, this wasn’t part of the exercise, it was a real-life emergency and representatives from the 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron were among the first to arrive on-scene.

Exercise brings plague on two basesOn the morning of Feb. 10, two Liberty Airmen reported to the emergency room at RAF Lakenheath with symptoms of the pneumonic plague as part of a disease containment plan exercise coordinated by the 48th Fighter Wing inspection team. The patients explained they had recently travelled to Madagascar with Airmen from both RAFs Lakenheath and Mildenhall.
