An U.S. Air Force major here has been selected for a distinguished alumni award by a nonprofit organization affiliated with Duke University. Maj. Kimberly L. Garbett, an international programs manager with the Partnership for Peace Consortium at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, was named one of three distinguished alumni of the Duke Talent Identification Program for 2013 May 20. Garbett is the first military recipient of the alumni award.
