The Air Up There

Lt. Col. Paul Shevlin and Capt. Herb Holman, 729th Airlift Squadron pilots, land a C-17 Globemaster III, June 6. The last leg of the journey can be the most difficult for Operation Iraqi Freedom patients traveling to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center from Iraq; medical personnel pay close attention to their patients' health status during the six-hour flight. Both pilots are deployed from March Air Reserve Base, Calif.
