Two soldiers from the North Carolina National Guard’s 130th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion load 30-mm cannon rounds on an AH-64 Apache Attack helicopter at the unit’s annual training here, March 19. The aviators flew missions as unit ground crews maintained, repaired and refueled twelve AH-64 Apache helicopters. In addition, Brig. Gen. James Ernst visited the soldiers to gain more understanding of what Army aviation units do. “It is great to see training,” said Army Brig. Gen. Ernst, NCNG assistant adjutant general maneuver during his tour with other NCNG leaders of the site. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Robert Jordan, North Carolina National Guard Public Affairs)
