Lt. Col. Myron Reineke, who hails from Spring Valley, Minn., hands a backpack to a local Iraqi girl at an event celebrating International Orphan Day April 8. Reineke handed out more than 100 backpacks to orphan children at Saif Dawla, a local school for orphans in the Abu T?shir neighborhood, which is located in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. The event was hosted with the Neighborhood Advisory Council, which handles local issues in the community to make the quality of life better for its citizens. Reineke is the commander of 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, attached to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad.
