“We are celebrating this moment in the understanding that new and modern facilities will inspire its tenants, our soldiers and families to achieve even greater deeds,” said the Adjutant General of Puerto Rico Maj. Gen. Antonio J. Vicens, (here to the left) during the historical groundbreaking ceremony for the new PRNG facilities celebrated at Fort Buchanan, Guaynabo. The new facilities will house eight PRNG units with an approximate total of 1,100 citizen-soldiers. This will be the first entirely National Guard new construction on the island in more than 20 years.
