    New Facilities, Brighter Future!

The Puerto Rico National Guard celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for its new facilities in Fort Buchanan, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The facilities will consist of five buildings in a "Campus Style" with a total of 155,000 square feet necessary to support the National Guard Mission. Among the attendees at the ceremony were the Adjutant General of Puerto Rico, Maj. Gen. Antonio J. Vicens, Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico in Wash. DC, Hon. Pedro Pierluisi and Puerto Rico’s Secretary of State, Hon. Kenneth McClintock. Here, McClintock, Pierluisi, Vicens and Col. Caryn Heard, Fort Buchanan commanding officer, execute the groundbreaking of the new facilities. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt.
