1st Lt. Chistopher Merrick, a KC-130J pilot with Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron 252, finishes the final portion of the Cherry Point duathlon. The Duathalon began with a three-mile run up and down Roosevelt Boulevard, beginning at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Hancock Pool Sept. 15. The more than 100 participants returned to Hancock Pool to board bikes for a 10-mile ride across the base and back. Dropping their bikes, the racers left nothing in their metaphorical gas tanks, pushing through a second three-mile run to complete the 16-mile course to the finish.
