Chief Warrant Officer Matthew Godfrey, vessel master for the Landing Craft Utility 2011, Chickahominy, explains the capabilities of his vessel during a tour of Fort Eustis’ 3rd Port, Sept. 14. Members of the Beckley Recruiting Battalion, headquartered out of Richmond, Va., and local educators and Army Reserve partners from the region came to visit the port to talk community outreach and build partnerships with Fort Eustis and the 7th Sustainment Brigade, said Lt. Col. Chris Wood, recruiting battalion commander.
