Marines, sailors and members of the community compete in the 400-meter swimming portion of the Cherry Point Sprint Triathlon aboard the air station, Aug. 25. A record turnout of more than 200 participants swam, biked and ran the approximately 13 mile course, competing in categories split up by age.The triathlon is part of multiple races in the Eastern North Carolina that form the 2012 Semper Fit Grand Prix Series, hosted by Marine Corps Community Services.
