Some competitors begin while another returns from the 10-mile bicycling leg of the Cherry Point Sprint Triathlon aboard the air station, Aug. 25. A record turnout of more than 200 racers, made up of Marines, Sailors and members of the community, swam, biked and ran through the approximately 13 mile course. The triathlon is part of multiple races in the Eastern North Carolina area that form the 2012 Semper Fit Grand Prix Series, hosted by Marine Corps Community Services.
