Lt. Col. Ryan Connelly, commander of 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, gives Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder a tour of Forward Operating Base Kunduz, April 19, 2012. The governor was visiting Michigan soldiers as part of a Department of Defense-funded program. The 1-125th is a Michigan Army National Guard unit deployed to northern Afghanistan in support of the International Security Assistance Force. ISAF RC-North supports Afghan National Security Forces in close coordination and collaboration in providing security and disrupting insurgent activities in order to protect the Afghan population.
