Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder stands with soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, during a visit to Forward Operating Base Kunduz April 19, 2012, as part of a Department of Defense-funded program. The 1-125th is a Michigan Army National Guard unit deployed to northern Afghanistan in support of the International Security Assistance Force. ISAF RC-North supports Afghan National Security Forces in close coordination and collaboration in providing security and disrupting insurgent activities in order to protect the Afghan population.
